  • In Hallstatt: The meeting point is right next to the bus terminal Hallstatt Lahn, in front of the Seecafé Hallstatt. Exact address: Seelände 173, 4830 Hallstatt

  • We take punctuality very serious in Austria. So if you book a 9am starting time, the photowalk/shoot starts 9am. The cut-off time for a no-show booking are 15min (no refund provided).

However, delays can happen, so if you already know running late, kindly contact me as soon as possible; typically, we can make arrangements to reschedule or postpone the starting time.

  • Finding parking in Hallstatt can be challenging. The official parking areas, P1 and P2, situated within a 5-minute walk from our meeting point, are the best choices. However, securing a parking spot, especially during the summer months, can be competitive, requiring arrival before 9 am. As an alternative, I suggest using public transportation for a more convenient experience.

  • The photowalk or shoot may be rescheduled when feasible. However, if the weather conditions pose a safety concern and hinder the activity, your booking will be canceled, and you will receive a full refund.

  • My personal recommendation is to opt for morning sessions, preferably starting between 8 am and 9 am. During this time, the lighting conditions are significantly better than in the afternoon, and, notably in Hallstatt, the town is less crowded. Most of the big bus groups start flooding the town at around 11am, so before that, the town is really peaceful and quite, providing perfect conditions for capturing photos in a more private and less hectic setting.

  • To travel from Salzburg to Hallstatt, you have a few transportation options. Here are the common ways to make the journey:

    1. By Train and Bus:

    By Train:
Take a train from Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station) to Attnang-Puchheim.
At Attnang-Puchheim, transfer to a train heading to Hallstatt Bahnhof (Hallstatt station).
From Hallstatt station, you take the ferry to Hallstatt town center (bring some cash)

    By Bus:
There are also direct bus services from Salzburg to Hallstatt. Take bus line 150 from Salzburg Hauptbahnhof to Bad Ischl and then change to the local bus line 541 to Hallstatt Lahn.
The journey may take around 2-3 hours. Bus schedules and routes may vary, so it's advisable to check with the local transportation providers for the most up-to-date information.

Use the ÖBB application for checking and booking public transport tickets.

    By Car:
If you prefer to drive, you can rent a car in order to get from Salzburg to Hallstatt. The journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic.

    By Tour or Shuttle bus:
There are also organized tours and shuttle services that offer day trips from Salzburg to Hallstatt. These tours often include transportation and may provide a guided experience.

Before you travel, it's always a good idea to check the current schedules, availability, and any travel restrictions that may be in place. Additionally, weather conditions can affect transportation in certain seasons, so it's wise to plan accordingly.

  • For Hallstatt, I recommend poppin’ colors (no beige or brown tones as the whole town is made out of wooden material and you would blend too much with the background). Red, blue, yellow, pastelle colors etc. are great!

High heels and flip-flops are not really recommenable as there are a lot of stairs and cobblestone alleys.

For Salzburg, you can choose whatever makes you feel comfortable. The town has a lot of baroque and classical architecture, so sort of casual-classy always looks great!

  • You will get your edited pictures within 24h after the photowalk/shoot via private gallery link.

  • Nope, I do not provide the RAW pictures as the file size would be too large and I would not know how the pictures will be edited & used afterwards.

  • Yes, please! Props are always fun, so bring them to the photowalk/shoot. Especially hats are very popular in Hallstatt and look great on the pictures!

  • Not at all! I'd estimate that 99% of my clients and guests are not professional models, so feel free to just be yourself. My approach involves beginning with static poses (don't worry, it's more about helping you get comfortable in front of the camera) and then progressing to a more dynamic and candid style of photography.
